Draft, pending legal review. This is a working document written to be readable rather than a finished agreement, and it has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Dispute resolution, governing law and venue are deliberately left out, because those turn on drafting and jurisdiction and guessing at them would be worse than leaving the gap visible.
Who this agreement is with
These terms are between you and the operator of this site. By creating an account, reading a profile, or posting anything on this site, you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the site.
You must be 18 or over to have an account. Profiles are not created for anybody under 18, and we remove any that are.
What you upload, and what you are telling us when you do
Every time you upload a photograph or any other file, you confirm two things. First, that you took it yourself or otherwise hold the rights to use it here. Second, that it is not an intimate image of anybody, and it is not created using AI.
You keep ownership of everything you post. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute it on this site for as long as it is here, which is simply what is required to show it to anybody at all.
If somebody brings a claim against us because of something you uploaded — most obviously a copyright claim from whoever actually took the photograph — you are responsible for it, and you agree to cover our costs in dealing with it.
We strip hidden data from every image as it arrives, including the GPS coordinates your phone records. The version carrying that data is never stored.
Reviews
Write about your own experience. Do not post anything you know to be false, and do not post on behalf of somebody else pretending it is your own account.
One review per category (professional or personal), per person on a particular profile.
A review cannot be edited or removed by the person it is about, and it cannot be edited or removed by payment of any kind, to anybody, at any price. Nothing in these terms, and no arrangement outside them, changes that.
If you have verified your identity, you may reply to any review about you. Identity verification is required because a reply appears in your voice.
Anybody can ask for a factual detail on a profile to be corrected, with proof.
Profiles
Any subscribing member may create a profile for somebody else and write content for it, so long as they know that what they write is true.
Claiming a profile closes it to other editors for as long as it is yours. If a profile is about you and somebody else has claimed it, verifying your identity transfers it to you. That is the only route, and it exists so that a page cannot be kept from the person it is actually about.
Court records
You may attach a link to a court order, judgment or filing, together with the court and the case number. In doing so you are telling us that the record exists, that it concerns the person whose profile you are attaching it to, and that your description of it is accurate. A court record offered without a court and a case number is refused. We grant anonymity insofar as we will not publish the case number or the victim(s) name(s).
Do not upload the document itself and do not paste its contents. Court papers routinely carry a petitioner’s home address and the names of children, and posting them here would publish those. Cite the record and describe it.
The outcome of a case may be added to a record at any time by whoever attached it, by the person the profile is about, or by us.
What we take down
We act on the duties the law places on us, and we describe them here so you know what they are rather than as a promise to remove anything anybody dislikes.
Copyright: we operate a notice-and-takedown process under the DMCA and have a designated agent registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. Send a valid notice and we act on it. If your material is removed and you believe that was wrong, you can file a counter-notice.
Intimate images: under the TAKE IT DOWN Act (and because we do not allow intimate images) we endeavor to remove non-consensual intimate visual depictions, authentic or AI-generated, within 48 hours of a valid request, and make reasonable efforts to find identical copies.
Child sexual abuse material: we report it to the NCMEC CyberTipline and preserve it as the law requires. It is never reviewed by a person here and is never deleted on request, because deleting it would destroy material under an active preservation duty.
A complaint that a review is unfair, wrong or damaging is not any of the above. It is answered with a reply or a correction request.
Anonymity, and its limits
When you post anonymously, nothing in our database links the review to your account, so a breach reveals nothing and we could not identify you if we tried.
When you ask to be told about replies to your review, a link between the email you choose to use for this purpose (but not your account) and the review does exist. That email address could be exposed in a breach, and a court could order us to produce it.
Accounts and conduct
Keep your login details to yourself; what happens under your account is your responsibility. You are legally prohibited from using this site to harass anybody, to post intimate or AI-generated photos, to impersonate anybody, or to scrape or bulk-collect what is on it.
If you do these things, we can sue, or suspend/close an account and permanently ban you from the site for breaking these terms.
The usual disclaimers
Reviews and profile content are written by users, not by us. We do not verify what they say and we do not adopt it. The site is provided as it is, without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it.
We may change these terms. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect.
