It\u2019s the only cinema left in Cannes that doesn\u2019t screen blockbusters and one of the only ones that screens in VO \u2013 version originale&nbsp;or original version (so, in most cases, English).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just don\u2019t bring in any popcorn \u2013 they\u2019re rather against anything that rustles, crunches and ruins the old-school ambiance. With such a small, well-worn theater, you might wonder why you paid so much to spend a couple of hours in a place like this\u2026 but c\u2019mon, isn\u2019t this the beauty of independent and historic cinemas?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.allocine.fr\/seance\/salle_gen_csalle=P0116.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" aria-label=\" (s&#039;ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\">Visit the Les Arcades website here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Olympia (for those who speak French)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;Olympia <a class=\"iconic-map-pin\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/g.page\/cinemaolympiacannes?share\" target=\"_blank\"><i class=\"fa fa-map-marker fa-lg\"><\/i><\/a> is another vintage cinema in Cannes, but a little more comfortable and \u2018conforming\u2019 than the&nbsp;Les Arcades. The&nbsp;Olympia&nbsp;might also benefit from a facelift, but the seats have good legroom and they show all the&nbsp;big Hollywood blockbusters (but mostly dubbed into French).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Normally, indie cinemas stick <em>Seulement <\/em>to indie films, so for me, it\u2019s actually interesting to see an indie cinema mix in some popular fare. And why not, eh?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cinemaolympia-cannes.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noreferrer noopener\">Visit the Olympia website here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Studio 13\/MJC Picaud<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Technically, MJC \/ Studio 13 <a class=\"iconic-map-pin\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/g.page\/MJCPicaud?share\" target=\"_blank\"><i class=\"fa fa-map-marker fa-lg\"><\/i><\/a> isn\u2019t a proper cinema but more of a multi-arts center. The films that&nbsp;Studio 13&nbsp;screen seem to be a mix of what the&nbsp;Olympia&nbsp;and&nbsp;Les Arcades&nbsp;screen. Looking back on their programming, they screen a decent amount of&nbsp;World Cinema and short films.
